Spiral Blue has completed testing of components of Space Edge Zero in preparation for building a fully integrated prototype. This prototype is to be launched and tested in space in 2021. Discussions are currently underway with launch providers to make this happen.

This testing has included running and testing representative algorithms on representative hardware, thermal testing in vacuum, and radiation testing. Radiation testing was conducted at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, with their Cobalt-60 Gamma Irradiator (pictured). Results from these tests have given us sufficient confidence to proceed to building a fully integrated prototype.

Our progress to date was possible thanks to Spiral Blue being awarded the NSW Government Minimum Viable Product Grant.
